Canadian cyclist Ryder Hesjedal will race for Team Garmin-Sharp for another two years. Last years Giro dItalia winner has re-signed with the team through 2015, saying Friday that Garmin-Sharp is the team that has helped him have "the biggest results of my career." Hesjedal became the first Canadian to win a Grand Tour when he captured the Giro dItalia title. That was also Garmin-Sharps first-ever Grand Tour win. "From my teammates to everyone involved with the organization, especially our sponsors and partners, everyone works exceptionally hard for the success of Garmin-Sharp and I want to continue to be a part of that," Hesjedal said in a release. The Victoria native joined the team in 2008 and his top performances include sixth overall at the 2010 Tour de France, second at 2010 Amstel Gold, and stage wins at the 2009 Vuelta a Espana and the 2010 Tour of California. Hesjedal has also been a part of three Grand Tour team time trial wins. An upper respiratory infection forced Hesjedal to pull out of last months Giro dItalia.
