Even with last weeks shellacking at Fenway Park, Greinke has had much better success on the road, fanning 57 with only eight walks in 56 1/3 innings out of the desert. This meshes well with the Friars 25 percent whiff rate versus righties. Greinke sets up well for all forms of DFS play.After throwing at least six innings in his first 17 starts, Johnny Cueto has left after five in three of his last six outings. His ERA over that span is 4.84, with a high 1.42 WHIP. Chances are good that its nothing to worry about, just the normal peaks and valleys of the arduous season, but for a guy whose calling card is consistency, its worth noting. The veteran righty is in a great spot to regain momentum as the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants meet in the second game of a four-game set in AT&T Park. The visitors tote the second worst weighted on base average versus righties for the past month. Despite his recent woes, Cueto is a fine cash option.SolidFridays are always popular for tournaments. Especially with the paucity of lesser-priced options, one of the more popular candidates looks to be Cole Hamels with the Texas Rangers opening a weekend set in Tropicana Field with the Tampa Bay Rays. Hamels enjoys a nice park upgrade, facing a club that whiffs at an elevated 26 percent clip against southpaws.Gerrit Cole?joins Cueto as a normally reliable hurler in a bit of a tailspin. The Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander has given up nine earned runs over his last two starts, encompassing only 10 innings. Cole has the luxury of working on pitcher-friendly PNC Park against a Miami Marlins club still without Justin Bour to go along with recently losing Giancarlo Stanton for the duration of the season. While not weak, navigating the Marlins lineup for righties isnt that daunting as adding Cole to the list of candidates for DFS cash grinders.Sorry to disappoint those looking for that elusive tournament anchor but as mentioned, this slate really tilts to cash games. Tanner Roark is another example with the Washington Nationals continuing a set with the Atlanta Braves in Turner Field. Roarks strikeout rate is pedestrian and the Braves dont fan much. However, they also dont score much giving Roark the high cash game floor.Technically, Wade LeBlancs projected game score of 52 lands him in the streaming tier, but well jump him up to highlight his GPP potential. The veteran southpaw takes the hill in Safeco Field for an interleague affair with the strikeout-prone Milwaukee Brewers. LeBlanc isnt especially dominant, sporting a 6.8 K/9, but the visitors carry a bloated 24 percent strikeout pace into the Pacific Northwest. Normally, the chance of securing the win is less of a consideration relative to whiffs and innings. However, on a night where punchouts will be down, the victory is more important. The Seattle Mariners should be favorites facing Wily Peralta.StreamersA hearty 18 streaming options remain but like the solid tier, theres a dearth of GPP picks. There are, however, a pair of veterans here with high ESPN ownership that would normally exclude them from comment but since they both check in as GPP options, theyll be discussed. Koehler is owned in only 39 percent of ESPN leagues despite his recent stellar stretch. There isnt ample strikeout potential for GPP action, but hes certainly in play as a second starter for cash play.At the beginning of the season, if someone said the Los Angeles Dodgers will be thrilled that Bud Norris is coming off the disabled list to boost their rotation, youd have asked for a urine sample. But thats the case as the injury-riddled staff welcomes the journeyman right-handers back for a tilt against the Cincinnati Reds in the Great American Ballpark. Theres some risk here as the hosts have hit righties well the last month but on a slate without many options, Norris is viable.Just as you think Trevor Bauer has taken the next step, he tosses a few stinkers, making you think the hot stretch was a fluke. Then he goes on another hot streak. Just 25 years old, this isnt uncommon for a still-young, high pedigree arm. Bauers 49 percent ESPN ownership is barely under the 50 percent threshold we use as the cutoff to discuss streamers, but hed get some bandwidth regardless with the Toronto Blue Jays visiting Progressive Field.
